We're sorry, CHBC is closed

The material reasons for this are declining membership and attendance against rising fixed costs. The spiritual reasons and larger purpose are in God's good hands.

As we considered the alternatives of either drastically scaling back our ministry budgets, or selling the property to a growing ministry that shared a passion for reaching out to the people of our community with the Good News of Jesus, we felt that God was leading us to “pass the baton.”

On April 2, 2008, the congregation voted to authorize the sale of CHBC’s property to our daughter congregation: CHCCC (link below). The sale will allow CHBC to meet all of our financial commitments, as well as provide for a time of transition for the missionaries and agencies that we have been privileged to support over the years.

Although this has been a painful, even heartbreaking, process, we continue to trust in God’s goodness, and in His good plan. We are eager to see what God will do through our brothers and sisters at CHCCC.
